Weigela Perennials Shrub Plants in 5ltr Pot

A native of eastern Asia, Weigela is a genus of between 6 and 38 species of deciduous shrubs. It grows with leaves which are 5-10 cm long and flowers which are 2-4 cm in length. It grows with a fruit which looks like a dry capsule and contains numerous small winged seeds.

Weigela Minor Black: From the Weiglea Genus, Weigela Minor Black is a low-growing plant which grows with green and gold leaves. It grows with bright rosy-pink blooms which attract hummers and butterflies. It makes for a great neighbor to groundcovers and to small perennials. It reaches to a height of 18 to 24 inches and spreads to a width of 24 to 36 inches.

Weigela Pink Poppet: produces a fusion of soft pink flowers against dense, green foliage with a neat, dwarf form. The small structure makes it great for containers, edging and mass plantings. For its growth it requires full sun and regular watering. It grows to a height of 4 feet and is known to be a repeat bloomer in spring and summer. It needs to be fed with general purpose fertilizers and needs to be grown in well-drained soil for optimal growth.

Weigela Wine and Roses: grows to a height between 4-5 feet and blooms in spring. It grows with Rosy-pink flowers and provides a great contrast against the backdrop of dark glossy foliage. It is low on maintenance as once it is established it seldom needs water. This great looking plant attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and resists deer. It should be kept under partial to full sun for best results. Make sure that you fertilize it in early spring and sow it in soil with medium moisture content.
